Mokihi rōpū is the Year 5 and 6 teams, divided into two collaborations – Year 5 and Year 6.  As teachers, we have many ways of collaborating and reflecting together as a rōpū to make sure we use teacher strengths to best meet the needs of our learners.  On a day-to-day basis, teachers work together in year-based collaborations to plan to learn.  We believe it is important that children and teachers establish strong relationships and for that reason have a focus that is largely homeroom based.  For some learning areas, we move children within the year level to best meet learning needs.  We promote curiosity, creativity, risk-taking, and communication in learning and enjoy learning from each other.  Come and visit our team, we would love to share our learning with you.
